World Holidays and Events

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of worldholidaysandevents.com (the “Service”), operated by World Holidays and Events (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

World Holidays and Events provides an online tool to look up public holidays, religious observances, bank closures, and notable events for countries, states, and cities worldwide.

Holiday data for the current year and past years is provided free of charge. Lookups for future years require a paid subscription as described below.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

To access certain features, you must create an account using your email and a password, or sign in with Google or Facebook.

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@worldholidaysandevents.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account does not remove records we are legally required to retain (e.g., tax records).

Past and current year holiday data is free. Future year lookups are billed on a per-click basis:

• Each future-year lookup costs $0.25.
• Your usage is capped at $10.00 per UTC day to prevent accidental overspending.
• Your payment method is charged each time accumulated usage reaches $2.50. Any remaining usage at the end of the billing cycle is charged at that time.
• Charges are processed by Stripe and appear on your statement as “World Holidays and Events” or similar.

Pricing may change with at least 30 days’ notice sent to your registered email address.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the “Manage Subscription” option on your account page. Cancellation takes effect immediately; any unbilled usage accrued before cancellation will be charged in a final invoice.

Charges already processed are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us within 30 days and we will review it in good faith.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our data programmatically in bulk
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent our pricing, usage limits, or paywalls
• Resell or redistribute our data without written permission
• Create multiple accounts to avoid daily caps or other limits
• Interfere with the operation of the Service, including via denial-of-service attacks, automated requests, or malicious code
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Provide false information when creating your account or paying

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

The Service, including its design, software, and compiled data, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service.

We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information on the Service is correct, complete, or current. Dates of some religious holidays may vary based on local proclamations. Verify critical dates with official sources before relying on them for legal, financial, or contractual decisions.

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (i) the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (ii) USD $50.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless World Holidays and Events from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any rights of another.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 8 through 14 of these Terms survive termination.

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Service. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which World Holidays and Events is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless required otherwise by applicable consumer-protection laws.
